  • How many natural fragrances do you offer? We currently offer 20. We have plans to offer more and welcome customer requests.
  • Why do you offer boosts? Isn't your basic product good enough? While our basic products (without boosts) are already chock full of effective and beneficial ingredients, we wish to give you, our customer, the added benefits of ingredients that fit your specific needs.

    Our basic products are as good as any skin care products on the market. While you may need several traditional products to achieve your desired benefits, we prefer to give you the choice of adding specific ingredients to customize our products just for you.
  • Are your products really made by hand in small batches? Yes! Since every product is customized just for you, we don't create your product until you've placed your order with us. This ensures you get the freshest ingredients with the exact natural fragrances and cosmetic benefits you desire. Every product truly is made just for you.
  • How do I know which products are right for me? There is a thorough description of ingredients, properties, usage, and directions on each product page.
  • How do you decide which ingredients to use?
    • All ingredients must meet our strict guidelines:
    • No sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, DEAs, MEAs, or TEAs
    • No GMOs (Genetically Modified Organism)
    • No animal testing
    • No artificial colors, fragrances or fillers
    • All plant extracts and essential oils must be certified organic whenever possible
    • All essential oils used must be steam-distilled or extracted with C02 and not extracted with propylene glycol - which kills the effect of the oils
    • All plant oils must be cold pressed, not heat distilled - which kills the therapeutic properties of plant oils
    • All ingredients must be proven to be beneficial to the skin
    • All ingredients must be harvested in an environmentally-friendly manner (wild-crafted) whenever possible
    • All ingredients must be bio-degradable when possible
    • Fair-Trade ingredients must be used when possible
  • Are your products certified organic? At the moment the USDA organic seal is only approved for products that meet their acceptable edible food standards. New progress is being made everyday to help create a standard for the cosmetic industry. It is very important to Astoria Naturals to have the seal on all of the products as soon as it is available.
  • Are your products tested on animals? No. None of our ingredients or products are ever tested on any animals.
  • Are your products vegan? The entire Astoria Naturals line is vegan except for the face moisturizer which contains honey.
  • Do your products contain Parabens or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate? No. Astoria Naturals products are entirely free of all parabens and sodium lauryl sulfate.
  • Do your products contain alcohol? Our products do not contain irritating alcohols such as ethanol, denatured alcohol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, benzyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, and sd alcohol - these alcohols dry and irritate the skin. Our products do contain beneficial plant based fatty alcohols, such as cetyl alcohol, which moisturize the skin and do not irritate.
  • Do your products contain preservatives? All products that contain water and are not pure distillates need preservatives to ensure they remain safe and free of bacteria. We use the safest, most natural preservatives available and we are constantly updating our products as the newest preservatives become available. You can find the ingredients under each product on the website - we don't hide them like too many other skin care companies. Importantly, we do not use phenoxyethanol, which has been found to be irritating to sensitive skin.
  • What is the shelf life of your products? All products have a shelf life of 1 year unopened. Once opened, we suggest using the product within 6 months.

  • Where do you ship? We will ship anywhere in the world.
  • Do you offer free shipping? Yes. We offer free shipping on all orders over $40 in the US. If you choose 3-Day, 2-Day or Overnight shipping, UPS rates will be charged based on your zip code.
  • How long will it take to get my order? All internet orders are filled as quickly as possible, often within 24 hours. Orders placed during weekends and holidays are received on the next business day. Since we make your product to order in our lab, we need an extra day or two to complete the creation of your product. Once an order is fulfilled you will receive an email with a UPS tracking number. Our fulfillment facility is located in Oregon. PLEASE NOTE: Selecting 2-day, 3-day or overnight shipping does NOT mean that your order will be processed faster by our lab. Once your order is processed by the lab, the shipper delivers in two days, three days or overnight.
  • How do I change or cancel an order? Once an order has been placed, we are only able to change or cancel orders under special circumstances. If there is an issue with an order you’ve placed, please contact us using the information above.
  • Is your ordering system secure? Yes, we use a secure third party ordering system.
  • Do you offer discounts? Yes. We offer 10% on orders of $150 or more. When checking out you must enter the code "AN" in the coupon area on the payment page of checking out, otherwise the 10% will not be deducted.
  • Do you offer gift cards? Yes. Scroll to the top of the page and click on the Gift Certificates link.
  • Will my personal information be kept private? Yes. We at Astoria Naturals respect your right to privacy. Therefore the information collected on this website will follow the strict guidelines of the Big Commerce Privacy Policy and Astoria Naturals will never sell your information to a third party.
